Possession of any amount of CDS (illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin, prescription drugs not prescribed
to you, etc) is a crime. Therefore, it is not necessary for the jury or judge to make a finding as to quantity.  In
the case of marijuana or hashish a finding as to quantity must be made and depending on the weight
different penalties will apply.  Thus, for all drugs except for marijuana or hashish even the smallest of
quantities such as a dusting, a part of a pill or even less than a gram would subject you to criminal penalties
with a minimum of 18 months in jail, a fine, probation and possible loss of your drivers license.  As for
marijuana and hashish although not considered a crime when under 50 grams in quantity you will still be
subject to up to 180 days in jail, a fine, loss of license and probation if your convicted.  Thus no matter what
type of drug you are caught in possession of you should get legal help!
